Off the back of a jam packed March which included Autonomous focused Cloud Day events in Sydney and Canberra, the CFO Symposium series travelling around Australia and NZ, and a sold out Oracle OpenWorld Singapore, we close out the fiscal year here with our overview of April and May activity in plan. Some of the key highlights include :

We are rounding out the year by amping up our Autonomous drumbeat for our DBEE installed base. Working closely with Franco Ucci, the team will be taking to market a series of highly targeted digital, eDM, data and good old fashioned Direct Mail (for our Key Accounts). The intent is to drive customers through to a series of (a) Fast Start or (b) Activation engagement workshops led by Franco’s Strategy Team, CPR’s or Oracle Consulting.

In May we are kicking off a program called the CIO ThinkTank which is all about giving our customers the opportunity to be heard on key topics of future interest. We are partnering with a local consultant IBRS to facilitate this discussion which will be hosted by Valery Lanovenko, and initially will bring together 10-12 CIO’s from Oracle’s most important customers for a curated discussion on our Autonomous strategy and the impact it will have on their businesses/ skills and the industry in general. We anticipate that this will be a quarterly X LOB program that helps us build better relationships with this key audience.

From an Applications perspective, HR and CX are our most active portfolio’s. Oracle HR has partnered with Insider HR in a content syndication program to help improve awareness and create valuable benchmarking studies that form a strong basis for future sales engagement. The highly regarded formula of the Oracle CX Leaders Forum will recommence from May featuring Oracle’s Thought leader Rob Tarkhoff. In addition to this we will also be supporting the business in executing the CX protect and expand forum targeting Higher Education “protect” accounts.

Finally, while on the subject of Higher Education the Apps team have engineered Oracle’s gold sponsorship at the THETA conference from 19-22 May. An opportunity to engage with our sizeable apps installed base in this segment, to grow our share of voice and maintain relevance in a highly disrupted industry. CIO Fiona Rankin of Wollongong University , one of our invaluable customer advocates will host an Oracle dinner at the event.
